2026 SUP CAMPING ADVENTURES

 Experience the Perseids Meteor Showers in the remote backcountry of Southwest Nova Scotia's Starlight Reserve. 2026 offers ideal viewing of the Perseids Meteor Shower, peaking August 12th-13th, under a moonless sky. The Perseids peak can showcase up to 100 meteors per hour, are often colorful, bright and leave persistent trains. This adventure begins with a 2.5km paddle to our base campsite,  to enjoy lunch, set camp and enjoy the natural surroundings. The rest of the day will be spent paddling, exploring remote beaches and hidden locations, foraging for editable wilds foods to incorporate into our meals and for making wild tea. In the evening, guests will be served a thoughtfully prepared meal featuring wild-foraged and locally sourced ingredients, followed by some well deserved time to rest & relax before enjoying the meteor show in the night sky! The meteor showers best viewing is from 12am-5am, making this a great opportunity to sleep under the stars. Refreshments and warm drinks will be available during this time. The following morning enjoy a freshly prepared breakfast and morning coffee or tea, swimming, paddling, fishing, or simply relaxing in nature, and another day on the water paddling and exploring.

 Experience a Stand Up Paddleboard Camping Adventure on a sandy beach in the remote Tobeatic Wilderness. Reconnect, Recharge & Retreat to the wild during this 3-day, 2 night Stand Up Paddle, Portage & Wilderness Experience. What to expect… Day 1: Meeting at the Indian Fields Airstrip on Highway 203. Gear check and then shuttle to the launch site. Once at the launch site, we will enjoy lunch and do a gear check and review of what to expect before heading off to spend a day paddling & portaging in the Tobeatic Wilderness, (3 Lakes / 3 x 50m-300m Carry) After arriving at one of our favorite campsites, you will be treated to a thoughtfully prepared meal featuring wild forged and locally sourced ingredients, while you set camp, go for a swim and have a rest before a relaxing paddle under the night sky. Day 2: Rise & Shine to the smell of fresh coffee and enjoy a morning paddle , swim or relax by in nature, while  you enjoy a freshly prepared breakfast and coffee or tea.. The rest of the day will be spent paddling, hiking, swimming, exploring, foraging, relaxing, recharging, reconnecting, good food, great company & a sunset paddle. Day 3: SUP, swim & breakfast, before packing up and beginning the journey home, stopping for lunch along the way. 

 Great Barren & Quinan Lakes SUP Camping Adventure Situated in the upper reaches of the Tusket River Watershed, and part of the Roseway River Glacial Plains, Great Barren & Quinan Lakes offers a of diverse landscape of giant glacial erratic’s, islands of old growth mixed Acadian forests, and coastal plains flora. This adventure starts with a shuttle ride to our backcountry launch site, followed by an easy paddle to one of our favorite backcountry campsites. Once at our campsite, we will set up our camp for the evening, enjoy some good eats, and a sunset paddle before settling in for a restful evening underneath the stars. In the morning, 'rise & shine' for a sunrise paddle or sleep in, either way there will be fresh coffee/tea and a yummy breakfast when you wake-up. After a relaxing morning at the campsite, and packing supplies for the day, you will be heading out for an inspiring day paddling, exploring remote beaches and hidden locations, stopping at the Great Barren & Quinan Lakes Nature Reserve for lunch and a swim. After a day filled with adventure, we will return to the campsite to enjoy supper, a relaxing evening paddle, and another restful night under the stars. After breakfast, we will pack up camp, load up the gear and begin the journey home.
